Following K-POP and K-Beauty, there’s a new star of the Korean Wave nowadays. It’s K-Dramas📺 now that are the talk of the whole world. It’s long been widely beloved for the diverse subject matters, and recently, we’re also seeing some MEGA HITS like Squid Game.
Today, we want to recommend to you some K-Drama filming locations for your dramatic trips!☺ We’ll be introducing 4 spots from dramas that aired relatively recently, so maybe you could go there to feel like the main character yourself this summer! Let’s go!👉🏻

Another drama perfect for the summer was released at the beginning of this year. <Our Beloved Summer> tells the tale of a youthful and sweet first love. We got to see the two main characters, Choi Ung (Choi Woo-shik) and Kook Yeon-soo (Kim Da-mi), in their past as high school students, as well as in present as they’re about to turn 30.
The first filming location on today’s list is where these two first met donning their school uniforms, Seoul Choongang High School. The school was featured not only In <Our Beloved Summer>, but in numerous other dramas including <Winter Sonata>, <Guardian: The Lonely and Great God> and <True Beauty> as well. The gothic style of the school building provides a foreign feel.
In reality, Seoul Choongang High School is a historic building founded by patriots during the grim years of Japanese colonial rule. It is still a school, so visitors are only allowed on weekends.☺

Also aired earlier this year, <Twenty-Five Twenty-One> was another popular drama that made a lot of people cry and laugh. In addition to the amazing chemistry between Baek Yi-jin (Nam Joo-hyuk) and Na Hee-do (Kim Tae-ri), a slew of great lines and scenes touched the viewers’ hearts.
The second filming spot on today’s list is Incheon’s Gaehang-ro, where the serious and comical charms of the so-called “Baek-Do Couple” shined through. Everyone remembers the scene where Hee-do’s broken slipper led to the the two walking in a three-legged set-up, right?
The period the drama was set in was a perfect match to Gaehang-ro and its reenacted vintage vibes. Visit Gaehang-ro, Incheon not only to relive the drama, but also to feel the vibes of Korean’s “Modern” Era!

We can’t leave out <My Liberation Notes>, which recently ended amidst high praise. Written by screenwriter Park Hae-young of <My Mister> and <Another Miss Oh> fame, <My Liberation Notes> also became many viewers’ lifetime favorite drama. It also showed what amazing actors Son Seok-koo as Mr. Gu and Kim Ji-won as Yeom Mi-jeong are.
The third filming location on the list is Cheonan’s Seonghwan Station, which provided the drama’s main backdrop as “Dangmi Station.” In the drama, the station highlighted the joys and plights of Gyeonggi-do residents, while also acting as a place of waiting and anticipation.

Have you watched <The Sound of Magic> on Netflix yet? Based on the webtoon of the same title, the drama kept alive the source material’s absorbing fantasy elements, while adding music to maximize the viewers’ entertainment.
The last filming spot on the list is Yongma Land🎪, which further boosted the drama’s fantastical atmosphere! Befitting the drama’s concept featuring ‘a mysterious magician living in an abandoned amusement park,’ the filming actually took place at a real abandoned amusement park!
Yongma Land is open for visitors from 9AM to 6PM. The entrance fee is 5,000 won for a regular visit, 10,000 won for filming, and 20,000 won for professional shoots. Parking is free, so check it out for a special date, or for special photo shoots.☺
