The Sky Dome, with an area of 6,927㎡, consists of two above-ground floors. The first floor is home to the badminton courts where you can play all the badminton your heart desires. There are also basketball courts on this floor. On both ends of the gym, there are changing/shower rooms for those who sweat during their strenuous exercise.
The second floor features a great many spectator seats. It boasts a total of 1,004 seats to accommodate spectators of badminton competitions, and anyone who loves sports can come here and watch the games. The second floor also has treadmills as well as offices and club rooms.
Incheon Airport Sky Dome Leads in Efforts to Develop Sports Culture
The Sky Dome is used by the professional badminton club Skymons. Skymons is a professional badminton club established by Incheon Airport in 2014 to contribute to establishing a sports culture.
Many outstanding athletes from the club are taking the lead in improving the country’s global standing in intentional events such as the Asian Games, Olympics, and World Championships.
In addition, Sky Dome hosts the National Badminton Championship and National Club Member Competition organized by Incheon Airport. Anyone Can Use the Sky Dome!
You may be wondering if the Sky Dome is available for only athletes or Incheon Airport employees. Incheon Airport Sky Dome is open for everyone to use, free of charge. Anyone can work out at Incheon Airport Sky Dome as long as they make a reservation. But since it is used by athletes to train, it is available for only a limited time.
Citizens can use from 7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on the weekdays and 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays and the last Monday of each month.
